"Not really." Mike said shaking his head, "I mean, I don't see anyway in which this really is awkward, does it seem awkward to you?" he asked. Mike figured from the different things he knew about Riley, that she was rather quiet, that she didn't have many close friends, so yeah, maybe this did seem awkward to her, but this was an ordinary conversation to him, as if talking to friends, which he was, this was just another conversation between friends. Mike's thoughts turned to the book, he couldn't resist opening it and scanning the page. He then closed it, looking back at Riley, hoping he didn't seem disinterested in their conversation, which was completely untrue, he hoped to try to show Riley that he meant himself to be a friend to her, but this whole Family History thing was starting to bother him.

"No, it's not akward really. I'm just not used to talking to people, I guess," Riley said. Her sudden honesty was becoming more of a shock. What's up with me? She wondered.
He couldn't resist openig it and scanning the page.
Riley watched Mike with interest as he absent-mindedly skimmed through pages of the book over family history. He seemed completely and totally immersed in the book that lay in his hands. She was wondering his real interest. Just random family searches of friends and staff didn't seem too likely. "So, not trying to pry, well maybe I am, but random curiousity of the family history of people you know isn't a very believable story. What's the real reason. You can trust me. I watch people, therefor I have plenty of dark secrets I never spill. Not to mention I never talk to anyone long enough to let anything slip," Riley told Mike with a grin. She found herself smiling more. Smiling: Odd Riley thought.

Mike knew his whole covering story wasn't good enough to conceal the true reason, to be completely truthful with himself, it wasn't if he was going to take this secret to the grave, he was going to tell people, eventually, one time, Mike was going to tell Audrey, his own girlfriend, but then people got involved, and Mike didn't wish to explain with possible eavesdropping involved. Mike took a deep breath, "Honestly, I don't know why I'm so.. insecure about the whole thing, it doesn't even affect me possible." he began, "See... I heard one time, that there was this old Wolf Pack, the Sapporetti Pack, and rumor has it that Fenrir Greyback himself use to be in it. Generations way before me, back to Harry Potter's time when he was in Hogwarts." Mike's expression turned in to disgust at Potter's name, he never knew why, some kind of odd no reason grudge, he supposed. "Well.. I believe my family, the Blaze's, had some kind of connection with this pack. Wizards from way back then who I talk to and find out who I am completely ignore me afterwards. You don't know how it feels to be somehow connected to Fenrir Greyback, but.. I just know I am. My patronus is a wolf, so the wolf/werewolf thing is still there, in my blood... somewhere."

Riley was shocked. More about the fact that he told her than what he told her. She thought about what he said. It didn't make much of a difference to her. Her family history was possibly just as bad. Okay maybe not. But everyone had things in their family they weren't proud of. It didn't change who they were. Riley just nodded in silence. She wasn't sure of the right thing to say. She hoped Mike understood her silence. That was just the way she was. Silent. Her thougths drifted to something else.
Mike's expression turned to disgust at Potter's name.
"Problem with Harry Potter?" Riley asked. She had always been very fasinated by the entire Potter history. Maybe it's just a Gryffindor thing. She thought. No matter, Potter was a very interesting person. A person whose life paralled greatly to her's, and she had always somewhat looked up to him.

"Problem with Harry Potter?"
Mike shook his head, "Always, Potter was in school when either my grandfather or father was, I forget which. Of course, us Ravenclaws should be thankful Potter vanished the Dark Lord, which I am of course." Mike said smirking, "Also thankful for Frenir Greyback's fleeing after the death of the Dark Lord." he added in an under thought, mostly to himself, but out loud none the less. "But Potter in my opinion, is just as self centered as all those Slytherins. Risking his precious 17 year old life when the Ministry of Magic could've easily done it. He did it for fame, I bet. " Mike said rolling his eyes.
OOC: Btw, I myself, Blitz speaking, have no grudge against Harry Potter, or else I wouldn't be on this site, I just thought I'd add an interesting quality to Mike.

Riley laughed. "I'm sensing some jealousy issues here. Most guys are. Even now, after so many years. I think it is a guy ego thing," Riley informed him. "I don't mind him. His parents died, my mom died and my dad left. My grandmother raised me, and much like his aunt and uncle, doesn't understand magic AT ALL. I just level with him I guess. Maybe it's silly. I didn't have many friends when I was young, so I read. ALOT. Every book I could get my hands on, especially those about the wizarding world. The stories of Harry Potter were always my favorite,"Riley rambled on about the uninteresting details of her life. SHUT UP RILEY!!! He doesn't care. The more she got to talking, the easier it became. It seemed years of keeping everything to herself was seeping out of her mouth.

"Me jealous?" Mike laughed, "Not of Potter anyhow..." he said trailing off when he spoke. Mike felt a little bigheaded at saying this, of course he got jealous, just like Audrey had earlier that day, to come to think about it. "I heard those stories of Potter, I can't say I don't believe them.." Mike said shaking his head, "Let's just say, I don't wish to believe them." he said. "Anyways enough of this talk about Harry Potter." Mike's thoughts twisted around in his head as he thought about something to talk about, he thought of Audrey, and began missing her, wishing she was there with him, he knew she hadn't spoken to Riley yet about the whole scene that took place earlier that day, but he hoped she would, so Riley would know she had a friend in both Mike and Audrey, and that way, if the three of them ever happened to be together, outside or something, jealous wouldn't arise in Audrey and present itself the way it did.

"Am I boring you?" Riley asked. She wished she could get over the insecurity she felt around Mike. She wished that he didn't have a girlfriend. Actually I wish that I was his gilrfriend. She told herself. She wished she could get over those feelings. It was silly to want something she knew she could never have. Ever. What a predicament she had gotten herself into. Her life was a neverending string of complications and disappointments. Good God, Riles...stop the pity party. Seriously. You're pathetic. "Mike, if you have something, ya know, more important you need to do, that's fine. You don't have to hang around with me," Riley told him, although she was hoping he would hang around with her. Forever.

"Not at all." Mike said, "You could say, I'm a little distracted. Mind if we go sit down?" mainly Mike wished to sit at the table to scan the pages of these books, but he wouldn't mind RIley being there as well. Mike was surprised she had asked this question anyways, people never bored him, well not friends anyhow, teachers, of course, but not friends.

"Yeah sure. There's a table right over there," Riley pointed toward one in the far corner of the library. There were two big, leather chairs that looked super comfortable, and it was in an out of the way place where they weren't likely to be disturbed. Riley led the way and settled down into one of the chairs.

Mike followed her, sitting back in one of the arm chairs on the opposite side of the table. He flipped the book open quickly, scanning the page of his family. Write there in bold print, of course, proved Greyback had been associated with the Blazes, although a deep hatred erupted in Mike, he was happy those days were over, Greyback was dead and that's all that mattered. "So... I don't think I ever asked you, are you from around here, London or something?" he asked RIley, looking up from the page of the Blazes.

"Oxford," she told him. "That's where I grew up. I live with my grandmother. Where are you from?" Riley asked, realizing how little she really knew about Mike. She longed to know more.

"Originally from Canbera, Austrailia, but I've moved around alot which is probably why my accent is more British than Austrailian, but I guess the Austrailian is still there." Mike shrugged, when he spoke, he heard mostly the British accent, but most people always said they could tell he was originally from Austrailia, oh well, not something to be ashamed of at all, anyhow. "Ugh I dislike with my grandmother, she's very strict, I'm just thankful to live with my parents, and little sisters, although, not always so happy to be with those two..." he muttered, when he said 'those two' he was indicated his little sisters who drove him insane most of the time.

"I'm an only child. I always wondered what it would be like to have siblings. Maybe I wouldn't be as quiet," Riley laughed. "My grandma is hell. She doesn't understand magic. AT ALL. My mum was a witch. She died right before I was 13. My dad's a muggle. I'm not sure if he about my mum. He dissapeared right after I was born," Riley had never told anybody any of that. It was weird; letting someone in to the deepest facets of her life.

"Sorry to hear that..." Mike said, he thought he had it bad with the whole wolf history of his family, but seemed as though Riley had it worse. Mike had a sense that Audrey was right about the whole RIley liking him thing. When Audrey had spoken to RIley, Riley just ignored her, but five minutes previous she had been talking to Mike as if she spoke to people everyday. Mike wondered, if Riley had ever had a boyfriend herself in the past years, maybe something went wrong with him or something, cause it seemed to Mike that Riley was literally opening up to detail in her life's story and telling him it, not that it was a bad thing.
