Katelynn pushed open the door to the Three Broomsticks as quietly as possible, even though she knew that nobody would have been able to detect her entrance in the first place. It was loud and rowdy even without the large concentration of Hogwarts' students. Her blue eyes found a couple of students she knew from school, but she didn't greet any of them. She disliked most of them in the first place, and she wasn't about to pretend she liked them. Humming a random song she was sure existed, she strolled up to the counter to place her order.
"Hmmm, Butterbeer, please?" she asked, not even bothering to sound polite. Most people who walked into shops tried to come across as all nice and overly polite, and for what reason? Not as if the employees cared much. They were here to work, and they were going to do it whether or not the customer was rude or not. The bartender disappeared for a couple moments before coming back with her bottle of Butterbeer. Katelynn took it without a thank you and ventured to a table near the back.
Some people would mind being alone, but she didn't really. As long as she was out of the house, it didn't matter much to her. Of course, it'd be a hell of a lot better if Dante was here, but you couldn't have everything. Besides, he was probably busy in the first place. Couldn't spend every waking moment with her. The blonde popped the cap off of the bottle and sipped lightly, lost in her thoughts.

OOC: Ugh, every RP I go to reply to with my charrie's name, I start typing John. Idk, I'm wondering if I should just forget the whole Ghost Rider thing and go with my orginal name of John?
Mike who was sitting a few tables away, with a Butterbeer infront of him, arms crossed, and eyes closed. When he had heard someone come in, he hadn't bothered to see who it was, but when he heard that familiar almost bossy voice, he knew who it was, Katelynn Creperum who he hadn't talked to in a long time. She was probably one of the only Slytherins he didn't mind, he had a problem with all the other Slytherins. Katelynn, despite her whole unfriendly, impolite manner, had always been a good friend of Mike's. Tossing his finish Butterbeer bottle into the nearest trash he stood up and walked over to Katelynn's table. "Haven't talked to you in a while." he said looking down upon her.

[[Hmmmmm I suppose it doesn't matter. I never ever saw Ghost Rider soooo yeah. >_> lmao.]]
Awww, damn, she was just getting used to the whole being alone thing. Her blue eyes, instead of observing the Three Broomsticks, were gazing out the window. Children hurried along with their parents, begging to go to this or that shop by the looks of it. She sighed lightly, before taking a rather large and impolite gulp of her Butterbeer. By this point, about half of it was gone. Well hot damn. When did that happen? Fully intending on grabbing another one, she was about to get up when someone decided to visit her table.
"Oh. Hey, Mike," she said, raising an eyebrow at the Ravenclaw. Fortunately, Ravenclaws were somewhat bearable. Not doormats like most Hufflepuffs, or over-enthusiastic Gryffindors. And Mike wasn't completely terrible. She surveyed him over the top of her Butterbeer, wondering whether or not she should talk more. Going against her instinct, Kate said, "Yep, it's been a while. All summer in fact. Couldn't have even bothered a letter." She pouted dramatically. You know, for added effect.

"Nice to see you too." Mike said grinning, he looked down for a moment then said, "Things kinda got screwy over the Summer, made plans to hang out with people, made plans to write letters, nothing got done. I suppose if you had written a letter, I would've made time to reply to yours." he said. "So how've you been?" he asked. He pulled out the nearest chair, he sat in a comfortable position, yet in a way, incase Katelynn got bored of him he could get up rather quickly so as to avoid intruding on her company any longer. Katelynn had been a friend of Mike's since his first year at Hogwarts, and her being a Slytherin and him a Ravenclaw and his rather dislike of most Slytherins didn't set the friendship off at a good start, but they were friends, atleast that's what he thought. He didn't know if she truly thought of him as a friend.
OOC: Course i know you Salina is a true friend to Blitz =D

"Right. Well, that sucks," she replied when Mike explained his whole predicament. Katelynn figured it probably had more to do with laziness than he led on, but she didn't say anything. "Maybe I ran out of parchment? You never think these things through, Mike. And you're supposed to be a Ravenclaw. Geez. Whatever am I going to do with you?" One of her blue eyes winked at him across the table. "Oh, I've been fine. Just at home with absolutely nothing to do. Can't wait for school to start back up, honestly. What about you?" she added the last part in an attempt to sound polite.
Katelynn watched silently as Mike settled himself down into the chair. Well, it seemed as though her idea of a silent, uneventful was officially put to rest. Sighing, she stood up. "I'll be right back, gotta grab myself another one of these things," she said, gesturing to the bottle. Making her way to the counter, she threw away the empty Butterbeer bottle. "Uhm, another Butterbeer." The bartendar gave her a disgruntled look but quickly returned with one. She handed over the coins and took the beverage, then traipsed back to her table where Mike was still sitting. Plopping herself back in her chair, she opened the bottle and took another swig. Ahhh, yes, wonderful.

Mike had his arms crossed now just watching Katelynn at first, smirking. Then he laughed a bit. "Same old Katelynn." he said. "And yes, I have the habit of not thinking these things through, that's just another great quality about me." he added in with a small grin. He had the sense that she would probably like nothing better than for him to leave, but he figured he'd still stay a little while longer, partially due to no other friends of his being around and he was bored out of his mind.
"I did, I guess you could say, the same exact thing you did this summer, sat at home doing absoloutely nothing." he answered, he knew she probably didn't care so much, but he might as well keep up the conversation. "And apparently, I was also neglecting my plans of to write letters and hang out with friends, due to different things going on, and I admit, and also due to my knack of being lazy at times." he replied returning her wink with a smirk. "So, I was gonna ask you if you were excited for school, but as you've already answered that question before I even asked, have you signed up for any classes yet?"

She smirked, laughing slightly. "Yep, I do have a thing for consistency. And I don't know if it's a great quality about you. Possibly annoying, or irritating, or generally terrible, but most definitely not great." Katelynn brought the bottle back up to her lips, sipping at the warm, inviting liquid. Her mind vaguely wandered to the question as to how they made this wonderful beverage. Probably some sort of butterscotch, or something, she concluded, setting the drink back down on the table with an almost inaudble clang.
"Well, I, unlike you, actually wrote to people. Maybe not you, but it was a couple." More like one, she thought, realizing that Dante was the only person she had kept in contact with over the summer. He was pretty much the person she ever kept in contact with during holidays. "Laziness is no excuse," she said teasingly, smirking again. Kate tucked a lock of her fair hair behind her hair and out of her eyes. It had a nasty habit of getting in her eyes, little bugger. "Hmmm, nope, not yet, have you? Because if you have, please, tell me which ones you've signed up for, so I can be sure not to sign up for them."

"Well.. I guess it seems you couldn't be bothered to write to me." Mike made a small pout, throwing it back at Katelynn, he smirked right back at her. "As for the classes, I think I'll... surprise you." He knew she'd be angry at this comment as the last person she probably wanted in her classes was him. "So... from your attitude, I think I've over stayed my welcome, or I could always stay and carry on with this friendly conversation between two friends." Mike said looking at her with a teasing smile, trying to annoy her in some way.
OOC: Any idea of how to keep the RP going if Katelynn does decide to get rid of Mike? lol

"I didn't have enough parchment to go around. You know I'd need to write to Danny ... I mean, Dante." She didn't really like calling Dante 'Danny' to anyone else besides him, so when she did it on accident, she would always correct herself, as though she got the name completely wrong. "Aww, you know how I hate surprises," complained Kate, frowning. Surprises did sort of annoy her, unless she was the person givivng them out. She did rather like causing surprises, though; she was in control of it. When he started to leave, the blonde raised one pale eyebrow at his behavior. "You know this is how I am, Mike, no need to leave like a little baby. Suck it up, man." Chuckling, she sipped the drink again, mainly because that's what she did to pass time in this RP.

"I never said I was leaving, I only suggested the fact, seeing if you'd rather I leave or not." Mike said, atleast knowing she didn't him staying, he tipped his chair back a little bit. Mike pondered for another topic to continue conversation about, this was the one thing he disliked about speaking to Katelynn, not easy to make conversation. "You into Quidditch at all?" he asked of her, feeling like a complete dumbass as to his not being able to think up anything else.
OOC: This RP is definetly starting to takea nose dive towards its final resting place.

"Well, good, because I've got nothing better to do with my afternoon," Kate pointed out, sipping at her Butterbeer. It wasn't like her to feel rude, but here Mike was, trying to be all nice and talk to her and whatnot, and she was being sorta bitchy about it. Oh well, it was how she was, she wasn't gonna change for anyone. If they didn't like it, they could shove it.
"Uhm, duh, of course I like Quidditch! Who doesn't? ... You do, don't you? I've seen you play, but I suppose some people could play and not like it. What position are you, again? I'm a Chaser. Best position on the team." Katelynn straightened up in her chair, a smug grin on her face. It was true, Quidditch wouldn't get very far without Chasers. They were the heart and soul of the team, mostly definitely.
[[YEAH SORRY. It's just how Katelynn is. xD]]

Quidditch, the key that seemed to spark Katelynn's interest of all the things Mike had mentioned. He had known she played, but was stupid and forgot, how the hell could he had forgotten all those intense games against Slytherin, he as a Beater, who usually made it a personal goal to knock atleast every Chaser and the Keeper off their broom with a bludger, but against Slytherin he would send a Bludger or two Katelynn's way, to test her, all the other Slytherin Chasers, he hoped to completely dismount from their brooms. "And of course I like it, I don't think I wouldn't have asked the question if I didn't." Mike said smirking, he figured he might as well throw one comment in there to maybe clash against Katelynn's rude comments. "I myself play Beater, I can't exactly argue with you saying Beater is the best position on the team, just there for some... advantage. I also may add, my Head of House made me Captain of the Ravenclaw team this year." he said grinning at this, "I'd say, even though Captain isn't exactly a position on the team since they play their own position, Captains are probably the best position on the team." he said, looking at her carefully, to see what her reply would be to this.
