Andrew Levesque lay quietly on the grass, arms behind his head, and his eyes shut tight. Though it was January, this day was fairly warm, most of the snow had melted although no doubts were in Andrew's mind that the snow would be back soon. He decided to take advantage of this rather warm, snow less day and relax outside. Fortunately the grass was dry or else his red sweatshirt and black jeans would have been soaked by now.
For such a huge castle with so many students, it sure was quiet out on the lawns. Everyone was probably inside studying or something. Andrew had some homework, but being the kind of person he was, he would leave it until last minute, like always. He began wishing at least one person would come out, even a Slytherin, that's how bored and lonely he felt. Even a Slytherin, the students he despised the most, Andrew wouldn't mind the company of. Yawning, he opened his eyes momentarily, surveying the lake that was in front of him of him before shutting his eyes once more.

Today, Moki was in a state of ethereal bliss. She had looked out the window during charms that morning only to see that the snow was completely gone. If that didn't do wonders for the spirits, she didn't know what did. Winter was one of the worst seasons imaginable, in her opinion, even if Christmas did happen to fall around that time. She was a summer girl, the time when things were hot and lazy and all anybody wanted to do was sit with their legs dangled over the edge of a pool soaking up the sun. Just the thought of it put a smile on her face... and the random look of glee had clearly raised the suspicions of Professor McKlennon, considering Moki felt she had pretty much been grilled for answers during class that morning.
Anyway, that was over with now, and she was outside, wearing a coat, yes, but outside, and not freezing her ass off as was usual this time of year. Oh, it was glorious, indeed. She turned a cartwheel randomly across the lawns, grinning like a maniac before she noticed she was not alone. Her smile faded for just a minute before she realized the damage was probably already done, he probably already though she was insane, so why the hell should she feel insecure about it. There was really no good reason, so she skipped over like a preschooler on crack and greeted him. "Hey! I didn't think anyone else would be out here." Well, he looked lonely. Of course, anybody sitting by themselves pretty much looked lonely to Moki... she did have a rather awful habit of talking to complete strangers.

( Haha, I must admit, that part with the pre preschooler on crack made me lol. :-P ) Andrew opened his eyes, taking once again, another look around. Still no one, he sat up, stretching out his legs. Looking over his shoulder he noticed the door to the castle slowly open and a young girl come skipping out, a Slytherin by the looks of her. Maybe if I lay back down and pretend to be asleep or something, she won't bother me? he thought to himself, quickly letting himself fall back on to the grass before she saw that he had been sitting up.
Opening his eyes just enough for him to see what was going on, he saw her do a cart wheel across the lawns. He smirked and fought the temptation to laugh at how ridiculous she looked. Following her cartwheel, she must've only just then noticed him laying there, because she was watching him, looking almost completely horrified. He shut his eyes once more, hoping that she would be embarrassed or something and retreat back in to the castle. Then he heard her footsteps approaching him. Dammit Andrew, think about what you wish next time, you wished for company, even a Slytherin, and look who's coming... a Slytherin. he felt as though he could beat himself up right now, but figured he'd look just as completely insane as this girl did doing the cartwheel if he began hitting himself or something.
"Hey! I didn't think anyone else would be out here." The words almost surprised him, not what she said, but the way she said it. Andrew had always known Slytherin to be obnoxious, self centered, and to speak in snotty manners or something. This girl however seemed friendly enough. Andrew figured he'd return the favor, although he'd still stand his ground and not too much friendliness right away. "I could say the same thing." he said slowly, opening his eyes, sitting up. He surveyed her for a moment, a Fourth Year he concluded. Well at least if she gives me problems, I won't have a hard time dealing with her. It's better than having to deal with that jackass Alexander Noble. She didn't even appear to be self centered or obnoxious, maybe she was indeed one of the nicer Slytherins. Letting his guard down a bit and deciding to open up, he held up his hand, "Andrew Levesque, and you are?"

Moki noticed the slight look of surprise on Andrew's face when she greeted him. Oh lawd. Prejudices certainly ran deep, didn't they? She had a small hunch he had labelled her as some pretentious Slytherin and didn't expect, well, Moki. She smirked in amusement. I could say the same thing, he said. Moki bit her lip, a guilty look on her face. "Yeahhh... well, I didn't see you doing cartwheels," she said. And indeed she hadn't, but the mental imagery, however lacking from the real thing, was still hysterical. She almost wanted to see it. He definitely didn't seem the kind.
Andrew Levesque, and you are?" "Moki Kagawa!" she said with a bright smile, taking his hand. "So, Andrew Levesque, what are you doing out here all alone on this randomly warm day in January?" She stretched her arms out in the cool air. Come to think of it, what weren't the other students doing out here? Moki examined her new acquaintance. Older. Cute. Definitely not a Slytherin, probably wasn't crazy about them either... by default, that made him a Gryffindor, although she wasn't 100% sure. He seemed nice, though, so she really didn't care. She would just have to do her house justice and prove that not only snobs were in it.
[ooc] OMG that was very very lame, I'm sorry, I couldn't think of anything to do.

( Totally alright, this post is pretty lame too. Honestly, I think I would've done better if i had just written it last night, when I had no creativity at all... haha. ) Andrew watched her curiously as she bit her lip. He didn't blame her for being unsure at this point. He would probably be just as unsure if someone who first acted as though they weren't interested suddenly opened up. This girl, Moki, she said her name was he was pretty sure, she didn't seem like all those other Slytherins. so maybe she was alright, he'd show his friendly side, but would still keep his guard. He laughed slowly at her comment on cartwheels, "I don't think I even have the physical ability to do cartwheels even if I tried..."
Andrew nodded, shaking her hand. "Taking advantage of the warm weather, I suppose. Hoping to escape from the over populated areas of the castle." he said shrugging. Although he thought there would be more people out here, apparently he thought wrong. Still a couple of people was better than a hundred fifty freaking thousand, or somewhere along those lines. Andrew had been correct when Moki had first made her appearance she was a Slytherin. Come to think of it, she was the only Slytherin girl he had seen all year. Actually no, scratch that, only Slytherin girl he had spoken to. He had seen a few others, including one in his own year, Katelynn. As long as the Slytherins were nice, he could care less, although basically a majority of all Slytherins he met were complete jackasses. Though he wasn't putting any of the nice ones, for example Moki, down, of course there were ones who were just like other Houses.

Moki laughed at Andrew's comment. "Aww, come on, you mean you're not an avid gymnast?" She pulled on a pouty face. "And I had such high hopes for you..." Unable to continue her "sad" facade, her face broke out into a smile yet again. Sometimes she felt like her sense of humor was ridiculously lame, but for some strange reason she always amused herself. Was it weird to consider yourself a weirdo? Probably, she figured.
"Taking advantage of the warm weather, I suppose. Hoping to escape from the over populated areas of the castle." "Yeah, I know, right?" She crossed her arms in seriousness. "For a castle as big as this, it sure can get crowded..." This statement was somewhat cryptic, or was intended to be at any rate. Moki knew she failed at keeping anything a secret, so she moved on in hopes that Andrew wouldn't notice the feeling of awkwardness that had swept through her when she thought about facing her duel opponents again. Sooner or later she was going to have to get it over with, she realized. It wasn't like her to play the avoidance game... why was she behaving like such a social reject? That really bothered her, namely because she couldn't answer that question. Eh, whatever. Now was not the time. "I was so excited the snow melted that I had to come outside. I seriously hate cold weather, I freeze to death in the winter. The unseasonal... warmness, I guess, is just beautiful. Even though I know I'm just going to resent the snow when it comes back. Really quite a mean trick of nature," she pouted.
"I haven't seen you around," Moki commented. "You're in Gryffindor, right?" she asked, hoping she wasn't offending him by making a rather bold guess. "One of my good friends is in there, Maeve Campbell, I don't know if you know her. She's only a first year, though, so I guess you might not. Yeah, a Gryffindor and a Slytherin... a bit unconventional, I know," she added, sure that her mention of the fact was probably surprising to Andrew. Deciding to test her theory on his dislike of Slytherins, she added not-so-subtly, "Do you have any friends in my house?" Well, she just wanted to know, really. Honestly, Moki had very few friends herself in Slytherin, with maybe one or two exceptions. Rita and Maeve were her two closest, and Rita was a Hufflepuff. She hated to be the mean one and admit it, but she couldn't blame the guy for not wanting too much to do with most of the people she knew. From her experience, she considered most of them to be either snotty, dangerous or too focused on hooking up to care. Watson was maybe the only person who didn't fit any of the categories, but Moki didn't know her well. Oh, she was being prejudiced. That was a rude assumption, really... she didn't know any of them well enough to judge. Maybe it was her Slytherin personality showing, but she had to admit she really didn't care if she did, either. Oh lawd.
[OOC] Okay, I think that one was a little better. I had to think of some more things to say to your char... intros are always so weird. XDDD And yours wasn't lame, don't worry, I think we both kind of failed at being creative. Hehehe.

( Took me two or so days to finally get enough motivation to type up a response. It's rather short and possibly lame, I don't know... haha. But atleast it's a reply. ) "Well, usually there's a few places with not so many students, maybe one or two at most, like an empty corridor or something..." he said recalling back to that corridor where he had met Julia. Maybe corridors were not the most quiet places after all. When Moki began speaking about the weather, Andrew let his gaze linger upwards. "I don't mind the cold, although I must say, the warmth is a nice change. Snow doesn't bother me too much, so I won't be too upset when we get our next storm, which shouldn't be that far away." Andrew, leaned back, not exactly laying flat down as he had been before Moki arrived, just so that he was propped up on his elbows almost.
He nodded, "Yes, I am a Gryffindor. i believe I have not seen you around either." he said with a shrug, "Hogwarts is rather large though." he pondered the name she spoke for a moment, "I don't think I've ever heard of a Maeve Campbell, I don't particulary hang out First Years much." he said this in a simple way, he didn't mean to say it was though to embarrass Moki, he was just saying it as a fact. Andrew Levesque and First Years just don't mix. When she questioned him about having friends in Slytherin, he knew she was most likely testing him, "I don't" he replied, maybe if he got to know Moki more, or even became acquainted with other Slytherin girls, he would. Slytherin guys on the other hand, never.
