Eric Blaze laid out in the snow, with his eyes closed, deep in thought. The snow surrounding him was a good few inches, so it felt almost like he was lying in a puddle of snow. Eric had pulled off his jacket, almost for the snow to soak his dark green zip up hoodie. The cold and wet feel of the snow would help keep him in reality. He thought of all that happened the previous days. The main thing that kept coming to his head was the Yule Ball. Even though Eric wasn't too fond of school get together things, he never minded the Yule Ball. For the past few years he never really flirted with many girls, he saved that for the Ball. He'd dance with as many girls as he could, but never kept a lasting relationship, only friendship. This year was different, he had met four girls this year, three of which he really had true feelings for, Richelle, Watson, and Riley. Julia of course was just a fun time, which he figured she probably felt the same way about him. The other three, he couldn't deny, he had true feelings for. The only problem was, he let his feelings take control and where did it end him up? Feeling like a jackass. He had managed to get Richelle to accept his apology, but did she still hate him? Probably... he wouldn't be surprised if she never wanted to talk to him again. Putting his hands to face his, he ran his hands up his face, to his hair, pushing it back a little.

It was amazing how over Eric she was. She had thought about it a lot since the incident and she was almost certain that she had never had feelings for him at all, she just had pms. It explained everything, the strange feeling in her stomach, the moodyness, even the tears. She wondered what took her so long to figure it out. But alas, it didn't even matter now, because she was so over him. Whatever attraction she had towards him had disintegrated when she discovered he was unattainable. And yet agian, life was all good and free from boy drama.
So now to celebrate. Richelle dashed down to the dungeons to change into her winter clothes, namely an several layers of tights under her loosest skinny jeans tucked into her boots, a long sleeved turleneck and a big bulky sweater borrowed from her father's closet under her winter coat. She dashed back upstairs, crashing into several kids along the way, and ran out the door to the snowy outdoors. She was greeted by the frigid winter air and the delightful smell of freshly fallen snow. She loved winter so much.
Richie skipped, that's right skipped, down to the lawns humming some nameless tune. She was beyond ecstatic. He mind was all free and racing about from fantasy to fantasy. It was a good thing noone could see her face because her reputation would be ruined. But at this moment she didn't care. Life was finally good for her.
She soon noticed a certain Slytherin, lying in the snow looking glum. Serves him right... But he was totally killing her vibe, so she figured she would let him off the hook. But not before she had some fun. Richie bent over, grabbing a handful of snow and rolling it into a ball. She aimed the snowball at Eric's chest, then threw it at him, hoping her aim had improved since she was five.

No matter how hard Eric tried to put the incident out of his mind, it kept coming back. The night replaying in his head. Why was this bothering him so much? Because he knew he wasn't over Richelle or Watson. He knew Watson wasn't mad him, Richelle on the other hand, storming out of the Great Hall after yelling at him, bothered him a lot. Then the next scene in the Common Room, she told him she'd give him another chance, but did she really mean it? Probably not. Alright Eric, put her out of your mind. he said to himself, easier said than done. He still cared for her and had feelings for her, he wanted to himself otherwise, but it was no use.
The holidays were coming up, Eric hadn't really thought about those in a while, it might be good to start now to put Richelle out of his mind, did he actually have any plans? Eric knew he and his family would be going to Mike's house, of course which sucked only because Mike was there. Although, Eric heard from sources of his, that Mike's girlfriend would be coming home with home, that was always a plus. Audrey was extremely beautiful, with her around, Eric's holidays would be great. Then there was also Eric's two other cousins, Mike's sisters, Amber and Allison, Eric never minded them at all. What was Richelle doing for the holidays?
There was the thought of Richelle again. Maybe it'd best just to go inside and get something to eat or maybe force himself to asleep and put his mind on idle for now. Eric closed his eyes again, only to feel an impact on his chest. Looking down he saw the remains of a snowball. What the hell? he rolled over quickly, getting to his feet looking around, ready to take the guy who had thrown this at him, until he turned his head spotting Richelle. "Richelle!" he said realizing how excited his tone of voice sounded there, he was rather excited and surprised to see her, but he didn't want her to know that. "Wh..." his throat went dry, not letting him finish the sentence, he forced a cough to clear it, "What are you doing out here? Besides throwing snowballs at unaware... people." he said, he was about to say friends, but thought it was best not to. "Look. I just want to say again how sorry I am for what happened at the Yule Ball I'm a complete idiot and it wasn't fair for you to have to be involved with it all." he said quickly, he knew he could go on and on with his apology. "Can we just... start over? You know, get to know each other again, put that all behind us." he said, looking in to her eyes, extending his hand to her.

Richelle laughed with glee as the snowball hit it's intended target. She noticed her laughs seemed to always sound evil and malicious. Maybe because she was evil and malicious. Could be. She laughed her wicked laugh once more when he exclaimed her name as he sprang up from his back. I wonder who he was thinking about... Oh no no no, Bad Richie. Don't go there again. He did seem quite excited to see her, he lost his normal to cool for school tone, he seemed almost flustered. Richie took a little pleasure in that fact. She made the notorious Eric Blaze flustered. Now that was quite a feat. "Awww... Poor Baby, does wittle Eric have a wittle cold," she said joyfully mocking him after he coughed. He did sorta look... less like Eric then usual.
"Just enjoying the lovelyness that is winter, no pesky birds singing, no happy children gallavanting around trampling over my toes. It is so peaceful when everything is dead," she said dreamily, twirling around in the snow. She couldn't believe how happy she was. She was never this happy, not even as a kid. "Ehh... whatever, no big, I am totally over it, C'est La Vie, or whatever," she said indifferently. She picked up another lump of snow and lobbed it at him before answering, "Yeah, sure, why not? Put all behind us. What so you want to know?"

Apart from feeling kind out odd, Eric smirked at her laugh. Made her sound evil and maniacal, Eric liked that, he thought it was cute. "Very funny." he replied in a laugh when she was done mocking him. "Not a cold, just a bad cough." he muttered slowly, hoping she'd still believe this and wouldn't realize his sudden excitement to see her. He hoped to keep his cool, but he knew he was failing at it. Why couldn't she make this more easier for him, although she did have the right to be like this, oh well.
"I know what you mean." he said with a grin, no annoying lower years running around bugging the hell out of him. Eric watched her twirl around, wow, he wasn't the only one acting strange. He smirked, "You look very... upbeat." he said, he couldn't find a better word. "Good to know you're over it." he was glad she wasn't mad, but it seemed like she was over him when it came to feelings, he couldn't say the same for himself though. As the second snowball hit him, he looked at her smirking, "Oh so that's how you wanna play?" he bent down, picking up some snow, packing in to a ball, and tossed it up gently, catching up, without letting it break, hoping to scare her a little.
