He looked up into her eyes and kissed her on the cheek, then a quick kiss on her lips, he wrapped his arms around her pulling her into an embrace
This had to be the best she'd felt in a really long time. Before Axel left. Before things got weird. Before anything. Since the beginning of she and Axel's relationship, when everything was new and fresh and almost over-whelming. If she smiled any bigger, her face might fall off in protest.
When I first saw you this year, at first it was just like any other year, you, my best friend, but then when I saw you again, really saw you, I saw you as more than a friend, and I couldn't take the feelings eating me inside, I had to ask you, and I'm glad I did.
Audrey laughed, and for once, it sounded genuine. "I know what you mean. I didn't know what was happening. You've always been Mike. Mike my best friend, Mike my shoulder to cry on, but you've never been Mike my boyfriend. I don't know why. I've just never thought about us like that. And then....I did." She looked at the ground. Her goofy grin was down to just a slight smile. "This feels right," she said. "Where to now?"

"Well... we were headed towards the Quidditch pitch, but didn't quite make it there before I had to confess a few things, so we might as well check the pitch out. Hope it's good conditions for this year." he said, he kissed her again, then took her hands and continued walking to the pitch. "I just was wondering, I mean, with this whole new thing, I don't know if you've thought about Axel, but whatever happened to him? Have you talked to him lately?" Mike asked her, looking at her. "If you don't want to talk about him, then just say so." he added.

Well... we were headed towards the Quidditch pitch
Right. Audrey had gotten just a little distracted. "To the Quidditch pitch, then. Are you going to be on the team again this year?" Audrey wasn't sure what she would do during the Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw game, assuming she and Mike were still together, but the thought made her want to giggle.
I don't know if you've thought about Axel, but whatever happened to him? Have you talked to him lately?
Audrey slowed her pace, and her previous feelings of elation quickly faded. She should've realized he would ask. "Errmm...No. I haven't talked to him. He made it pretty clear we were done. He said he didn't want to talk to me. Ever. And he's not here anymore, at Hogwarts, I mean." While she spoke, she kept her eyes on the ground. It felt odd talking about Axel this way. Usually she didn't talk about him at all. She thought about him. Everyday, but she didn't see how that could be helped. Everything about Hogwarts screamed memories of Axel at her. Sometimes she wished she would go blind, so she couldn't see him lurking around the dark corners of the corridors or that she'd lose her sense of touch so she'd stop feeling his hand brush her hair away from her face the way he used to. But she didn't think she needed to tell Mike all of this. At least not right now. When he was still just her best friend, sure. She would've told him every embarassing thought she had, every dream that was really a nightmare because she knew he'd never come back. He told her that much. But Mike wasn't just her best friend now. "No, I don't think about him much," she lied. No...only when I'm breathing, she thought.

OOC: Who played Axel in KOL anyways? I remember seeing an Audrey and Axel RP, but never really clicked into them, I don't think. I don't remember who he actually was though?
Are you going to be on the team again this year? Mike had the answer all set, all summer he had been counting the seconds, minutes, hours, days until he would be back on the field. "Course, trying out to be of course a Beater again this year. I'm almost positive I'll get the spot. I put my name in to be Ravenclaw Team Captain this year, I just hope Professor Middleton considers me, I know there are seventh years better than me in Ravenclaw, but I just hope to get Captain..." Mike said taking a deep breath. "All I know is, I can't wait for matches to start. First match of the year, Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw," he said, "I hope my girl decides to cheer for Ravenclawof course. But whoever you decide is fine with me." he added with a smirk, squeezing her hand a little.
"I'm sorry to hear about Axel, he had always been a good guy. I knew hm well, we weren't exactly friends, but I knew him. I knew you loved him." he sighed, "If you're not ready for a relationship just yet, you know, if you feel guilty being with me about him, I understand." his own words felt like a stab to him. He could tell, even though she wasn't saying anything, she thought about him a lot. "And if you ever need to talk, as you know, I'm always here. Even though, we're together now, which I would think you could talk to me more, you can still think of me as your best friend. who you can talk to." he said, releasing her hand and putting his arm around her pulling her close to him as they walked.

OOC: Chelsey. She doesn't RP anymore. Wish she would come back, but I doubt she will. IC: I hope my girl decides to cheer for Ravenclaw of course. But whoever you decide is fine with me.Audrey smiled. "Well maybe I'll wear maroon and blue. I can't just not cheer for Gryffindor. My friends would shun me. Or maybe I won't wear any colors at all. I'll just wear muggle clothes." She smiled at the thought of being the only person in the stands not in robes and house colors. If you're not ready for a relationship just yet, you know, if you feel guilty being with me about him, I understand.Audrey snaked her arms around Mike's middle and made him stop walking. The pit of Audrey stomach clenched, and she looked him in the eyes and said, "No...no. It's not that at all." Audrey thought for a moment about her situation. "It's been nearly a year since Axel left. I've excepted the fact that he isn't coming back." Even though it hurt her to say it outloud. "I'm moving on. That's what he wanted." She contemplated the way she had phrased it. This wasn't about Axel anymore. She wasn't about Axel anymore. "I'm ready to move on. It's what I want," she amended. She kissed his lips and smiled, a tiny, playful smile.

The stabbing inside Mike ceased almost immediately, after she kissed him and smiled, he looked into her eyes, knowing the feelings for Axel would probably always be there, but he knew she meant that she was moving on. He kissed her back. "I love you Audrey, so much." he said leaning forward whispering into her ear. Mike breathed deeply glad that things were finally settled and he knew they'd be a couple for a long, long time. As they walked Mike still kept his arm around Audrey. He laughed now at her answer bout the match, "Nah I don't expect you not to cheer for your own house. Hell, Gryffindors your house, cheer for them." he told her, "Most of the other people on Ravenclaw's team suck anyhow." he answered with a smirk, half joking about this fact, half not joking, unfortunately. Mike with Audrey at his side didn't head for the stairs where most students went to watch the matches, he went the way he was most familiar with, right onto the field itself. As he emerged on the clean bright green grass, he looked around the Pitch. Looks like Abe and the school's caretaker have been taking good care of keeping the field's grass cut and goal posts clean." he said continuing to look around the field.

I love you Audrey, so much.
Audrey's heart studdered. She knew she loved him, in a way, at least. But I'm not ready to say it again. She kissed him in reply and hoped that it would suffice for now.
He went the way he was most familiar with, right onto the field itself.
The view was mezmerizing. "I've never seen the pitch from this angle," Audrey smiled. "It's nice. It almost makes me want to try out for the team," she laughed, imagining herself on a broomstick, opposite from Mike. Never gonna happen.

"Yeah" Mike replied back, "It looks a lot bigger from down here I must say." he said, gazing up at the goal posts. The goal posts had always appeared high to him, although after four years of playing, they didn't seem as high as they did during his second year when he had his first match ever. Mike knew Audrey had never gone up on a broomstick. "Well, after the Quidditch Season starts, one of these days when no one's out here, I'm definitely taking you up on my broomstick." he said firmly, "You might not want to at first, but trust me, you'll love it once you try it." he said grinning, remembering his first time flying.

Well, after the Quidditch Season starts, one of these days when no one's out here, I'm definitely taking you up on my broomstick.
The girl had had enough of the serious side of Mike, she decided to lighten things up a bit. Audrey wormed out of Mike's embrace and placed her hands on her hips. "I've been on a broom before, you know. I have my own broomstick at the ranch, even. I just don't enjoy being beaten by people and magicked balls." She laughed at all the possible 'That's what she said' moments that she was letting slip.
Under her breath, she said, "And I just bet you want to get me up on your broomstick." Audrey laughed and ran a few paces away from Mike, bating him.

Mike couldn't resist saying, that's what she said, but did anyways. Smirking, "Haha well... as a matter of fact, I would love to get you up there with me." as she ran from him, he laughed to himself. "Playing a little game of tag are we?" he asked now laughing. He chased her, but before she could run any farther he caught up to her and lifted her right off her feet, one hand under her legs, one supporting her back. Holding her, he fought the temptation inside to move his hand under her back, a little more down.
OOC: Hah Mike has 'thoughts' as well, just like Audrey with her 'that's what she said' thoughts. =P

He caught up to her and lifted her right off her feet, one hand under her legs, one supporting her back.Audrey looked up at Mike, stunned. Well, that wasn't what I was expecting. She laughed and squirmed out of his arms, but not before kissing his cheek. We'll see who is faster, she thought. This time, she really ran, to the other end of the pitch. "Distance makes the heart grom fonder," she yelled. Hmmph. We'll see who is better at what. Before she could fully form her plan, she checked to make sure her wand was still in her back pocket: it was. Ok, then. Let's go.OOC: Audrey has a dirty mind. Just a warning. If you say something around her, she is likely to turn it into a "That's what she said" moment.

Mike smirked watching her run. Guess she does want to play a game of tag. Mike began laughing, while he watched her check her pocket for her wand, he wished he actually had taken it to tease her. "Distance may make the heart grow fonder, but me being close to you is better than anything else." he sad and start running the distance of the pitch.

Distance may make the heart grow fonder, but me being close to you is better than anything else.
Well, that was sweet. It almost made her sad to do what she did next: "Petrificus totalus!" Audrey laughed as she watched Mike go completely stiff and fall over. The girl walked slowly towards him, taking her sweet time, knowing that he would be wanting to kill her as soon as she released him. I should have my fun, at least.
Audrey walked until she was even with his face, and leaned over. "Hi there." She smiled hugely, thoroughly enjoying the look on his frozen face. "You look like you're scared stiff." She really was enjoying this. Maybe she should put the charm on him more often. The girl walked around him and sat just above his hips, one leg on each side, and placed her hands on his chest. Thinking of her favorite childhood movie, she said, "Pinned ya."
OOC: So many dirty phrases....eeek. Sorry.

Ooc: Haha! Sorry guys, but I can't ignore the overwhelming urge to break up this little love fest.
Bic: Katarina walked briskly towards the quidditch field. Why her friend would be there of all places she had no idea, Audrey was never much of one into sports, but it was the last place Kat could think to look. Did she need something from Audrey? No, she didn't. Did she have to tell her some dreadful and pressing news? No, not that either. Honestly, Katarina had no specific reason to find Audrey other than the fact that she was bored and what better entertainment than a best friend?
It wasn't too long before she noticed her friend strattling a guy on the ground. Oh God! Awkward... for a moment she toyed with the idea of hiding out of sight. Alas, she was in the center of the field and there was nowhere to turn. Wait a minute.... She took concentrated and determined steps in their direction. She knew the symtoms of a Petrificus spell , it was one of her personal favorites.
"Audrey, Audrey, Audrey.... Stop molesting this poor boy!" she joked as her steps came to a stop mere inches above Mike's head.

OOC: Not a problem, Jillian. IC: Audrey, Audrey, Audrey.... Stop molesting this poor boy!Audrey's face was flooded by blood, and she could just imagine that it was now close to the same shade as her hair. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Kat? WHHYYYY? She scrambled off of Mike and released him from the spell at the same time. "Oh, hey Kat. Hehe....Wow. Listen. It's not what it looks like. At least, not really. I mean..." At least I hadn't planned on molesting him while you were here to watch it.
