Slowly the evening began closing in and the day started to get dark. With it being late summer the evenings were quite warm so George was able to sit around in a t-shirt. He had a jacket with him though just in case the weather started to take a turn for the worst. Knowing his luck it would but apparently if you thought positively about something there was less chance of something bad happening. That was if you believed in that kind of stuff but at least it was worth a try. George wanted to spend his evening outside not running for the castle trying to dodge the weather where possible. That sounded like hard work and sitting out underneath the stars and relaxing seemed a lot more appealing. George didn’t really have much to do anyways so spending a couple of hours out would help to entertain him for a while.
There were plenty of places that George could have choosen to go to but he decided to keep things simple by going to the lawns. The lawns weren’t really the most interesting place on earth and you often had to make your own entertainment. George had no entertainment except for lieing down and looking up at the sky. It would surely get boring but it was all he had to do. Once it became boring he’d have to find something else to do but right now he was going to take his chances.
Finding a spot on the lawns George took a seat. Rolling up his jacket in his hands George placed it down behind him and led backwards using his jacket as a pillow. Looking at the stars alone had been even more boring than he had once thought. He’d done it a couple of times before with friends but doing it by yourself was a whole different ball game. Soon he came up with the idea of attempting to notice some constellations. He managed to find Orion’s belt but as far as he was concerned that was quite common and he regularly spotted it when looked up to the sky. Maybe staying up in his dorm would have been a little more eventful.

Richie's mind was all scrambled up and tied in square knots. It had been weeks since the Feast and she had yet to woo Eric into asking her out. In fact she hadn't really talked to him since then, except for your casual hellos and flirty glances in class. That night when he held her hand, Richie felt something, which is not a usual occurrence. She thought maybe he felt it too. So why hadn't he asked her out?
Damn. She was turning into one of those annoying clingy needy girls. Ugghh. She needed a break. She would go hang out with a girlfriend and gush all about how he took her hand and all that shabang, that is if she had friends. She could always tell her cousin, then again, she had heard some rumors going around school about Julia and Eric. She had actually heard a lot of rumors about him lately. She wasn't sure if she believed them, but she really had no claim over Eric. It wasn’t like they were dating, but she was the jealous type.
Then she would get Eric off her mind by taking a walk. She stepped out of the castle and looked up at the twinkling stars, it was a gorgeous night. The nights were warm out her, so warm that she could wear a short sleeve shirt and skinny jeans. The petite girl moseyed along until she saw another person outside. Usually she would avoid any contact with anyone, but she was in a fragile state, and needed someone to talk to. Even if it was some mudblood, heck she might even talk to her cousin at this point.
She hesitated before heading over and sitting next the guy, “Ummm… Do you mind if I join you?” Not waiting for his answer, she leaned back on her elbows and stared up at the immense night sky. “Stars don’t twinkle like that in the city,” she stated. She wasn’t really making conversation, merely thinking out loud. She wasn’t much on socializing. Other than with her housemates.

Taking his glance away from the stars for a moment George looked over to the Forbidden Forrest. He really didn’t understand why some people feared it so much. Probably because he been lucky enough to not meet any dangerous creatures. He had however heard stories of people going in there and not coming out the same or even at all. It was just one of those chances that you took and George had been lucky enough to get out alive and untouched. George didn’t go in there much anyway only when he felt like getting away for a bit. It was so quiet it was a great place to spend time alone.
Turning his attention back to the stars George eyed one that was brighter than the rest. Some people and scientists believed they were planets. Although George had no idea he partially believed that they could be planets. Despite being bigger in size why would one star shine brighter than the others? Like usual George was looking too far into things. It didn’t really matter it was just a point of interest in his mind. A night’s sky was amazing even if the universe behind it was confusing and unknown.
Earth was quite unknown and confusing as it was space was bound to be double that. It was strange to think that stars were big rocks they seemed a little more special than that. It probably sounded a little girly for him to be talking about stars in such a way but he found them pretty. A bright nights sky with a full moon was one of the nicest sights you could see. Sitting out in the fresh air of the evening was also nice too. Hearing a rustle in the grass George turned his head to see a girl walking in his direction, she then spoke to him.
“Sure” He smiled lightly as she took a seat down on the grass next to him. Sitting up from his lieing position George titled his neck back a little so he could look at the stars again. ”They don’t” George had lived in the country for quite a bit of his childhood and the stars in the city didn’t even compare. The city compensated with bright city lights often admitting their own alluring glow. After a few seconds of silence George spoke again ”I’m George by the way, George Knox” The girl probably didn’t really care much for who he was but George felt rude not introducing himself to her.
