"Hey, how's it going?" Moki asked the redhead. "You liking your classes so far?"
Maeve grinned up at Moki. "Yeah they're cool so far. No homework yet!" Maeve held up crossed fingers to show she was hoping it would stay that way.
Maeve looked where Moki was looking and asked innocently, trying not to grin. "Meeting some new guys, hmm?" Her impish face broke into a grin to show she'd just been teasing Moki.
"Hey, you wanna come with me and sit with Riley? I feel bad that she's all alone. I know she sat there herself, so I dunno, maybe she doesn't even wanna sit with any of us, but I'm gonna at least ask her if she wants some company."
Maeve nodded and stood, gathering up her belongings. "Sure, no worries here. I'm good at meeting people. She's a fellow Gryffindor anyways. House loyalty right?" She rolled her eyes at the Slytherin. "Not that I guess you and I stick to that rule much, huh?"
Maeve scooted her chair back into the table and motioned for Moki to lead the way. Maeve may not be shy but it 'had' been Moki's idea.
((sorry Moki missed your intro there))

OOC: Oh no worries, sorry, posted before I saw you did though. Alright, edited.
Moki smiled as Maeve told her about her classes. "Good to hear," she said. "Wish it would stay that way, though," she commented, meaning that there wouldn't be any homework.
"Meeting some new guys, hmm?"
Moki could tell she was kidding by the look on her face. She almost looked like she was going to laugh. "It's been fun," she said with a cheeky smile. "He-" she pointed inconspicuously at Hunter "-cracks me up. I think he's got a thing for this other fourth-year I know, Cady - although don't quote me on that, I'm just spreading gossip here. Anyway, he flirts with everyone, it's hysterical to watch if you keep in mind that's all it is." She nodded as Maeve agreed to move nearer to Riley and stood up, grabbing her bag as she did so. Walking to the front of the room, she plopped down in a seat near, but not obnoxiously close to the fifth-year, in case she really didn't want company. "Mind if we sit with you, Riley?" she asked with a smile, hoping that Riley realized she was actually asking, so if she wanted to be alone, she could tell them so. "This is my friend Maeve. She's a first year. You guys are in the same House, I think." She stopped talking there, hoping she hadn't annoyed Riley or made her think that Moki thought she needed to be introduced to people because she didn't have any friends.
Moki waved to Cady as she sat down, looking a little out of it. She could tell Cady wasn't too anxious to be there right now. Moki was kind of bored with Charms. She liked the people there but not much was going on and she didn't care if Justin and Hunter were having some weird battle of the wills. They were so much alike, at least where girls were concerned, she wasn't at all surprised they didn't get along. Kat was providing some interest, anyway. Watching her flirt with Justin was funny, because it was obvious she had no real interest in him. Moki recognized that spirit... hadn't she done the same thing just this morning in Potions?

"Mind if we sit with you Riley?
Riley jerked her head up, looking at Moki and the young Gryffindor who had little flying experience. She stared for a second trying to comprehend what she had just been asked. "Oh....yeah," Riley smiled. "I don't mind," She told them honestly. She didn't mind the company too much, she just didn't want too much deep conversation at the moment.
"This is my friend Maeve. She's a first year. You guys are in the same House, I think."
"Hi Maeve. Yeah, I'm in Gryffindor too. And we flying lessons together," Riley remembered her clearly. She was a younger girl who seemed very sweet with an earnest interest in flying. Hmmm...Maybe I could give her some lessons sometimes. Riley thought to herself. She would have to make the offer sometime when there weren't so many people around. She didn't wan't to embarrass Maeve.

"Oh, cool, so you guys already know each other!" Moki felt a little dumb for not thinking that maybe they'd already met. I mean, Maeve and Riley had other classes she wasn't in. It wasn't like she was the link to all people knowing each other. Still, nobody had to know of her embarrassment. She smiled in what she hoped was a convincing and undeterred manner.
"So, anyone know anything about Charms?" she asked, half-jokingly. This was one of her better subjects, but you never knew what the professors could throw at you. She'd never had this teacher before, so anything was possible. She knew Maeve hadn't a clue about the subject - well, unless she'd been really proactive and taught herself over the summer - but Riley was older than her and could know a lot more potentially if she'd taken the class before.

Maeve smiled at Riley. Oh duh! Now she recognized her. Triyng to act as if she'd known who she was all along Maeve grinned at her. "Yeah, flying is cool. Though I haven't lifted a single foot off the ground." She slid into a seat next to Riley and looked around at Moki and grinned at both of them. This could be a fun class. When Moki asked about charms Maeve had to laugh.
"I'm a bit young to be charming anyone so I would have to say no." She wrinkled up her nose as if something smelled funny. "You should know something about being charming, Moki!" Maeve was referring to their last conversation about boys and was delighting in teasing Moki.
Looking over at Riley, Maeve smiled, "Seriously though I don't know 'any' Charms."

"I'm a bit young to be charming anyone so I would have to say no. You should know something about being charming, Moki!"
Moki snorted and cracked up at Maeve's remark. "Should, but do I really? No!" She made a face. "I just play around. Mmm, yeah, well, the time will come for you... and when it does I will corrupt you!" She had to restrain herself from laughing maniacally. That was just weird even if it did fit the mood.

Richie walked into class not caring that she was late, the teacher should be glad she even showed up. The room had gotten prettier by her just showing up. Everyone was all buddy buddy. Gryffindors sitting with Ravenclaws and Slytherins. Yuck. At least there were no Hufflepuffs. They were likely to kill someone accidentaly. Or even better kill themselves. She saw a few familiar people, the incredibly obnoxious couple of the year, Mike and whatsherface. Just because he is good at quidditch doesn't give him the right to make her want to vomit. And all their little friends, Hunter and Katjdhfjdksh, whatever. Hunter was hot but had been with almost every girl in school, including the poor ones. Yuck. You certainly did not know where that thing has been. Then she saw Justin, he was a slytherin. Thank god. She slid down the aisle and sat down behind Justin, not acknowledging anyone. She didn't know Justin well, only that he was much older than her and had quite a reputation as a ladies man. "Hey."

"So, anyone know anything about Charms?" she asked, half-jokingly.
"Oh, a bit," Riley answered, somewhat modestly. She'd been in the class since her first year and charms was her second best subject, next to flying. She really enjoyed the simple, useful spells the most. Charms were convenient so she used them often getting in plenty of practice.
"Yeah, flying is cool. Though I haven't lifted a single foot off the ground."
"Don't worry about it too much," Riley told the younger girl. "You just need some training and practice. You'll get good. It just takes a littel bit of time," Riley smiled genuinely, hoping to give her some confidence.
As conversation continued, Riley pulled out her charms book, quiell, and parchment, laying it on her table in a somewhat neat stack. She stared off into soace, daydreaming ridiculous things about Eric. She was smitten, that was sure. She wasn't quite sure why, but she was and something had to be done to control the feeling. But she wasn't going to worry about it now. It was depressing, and she was in a happier mood. She reverted her thoughts back to the lake. She smiled to herself and bluched a little bit. She scolded herself for thinking such things in a class full of people. You never know when someone is reading you thoughts...

Justin chose to ignore Hunters less than warm greeting and focus on his prize: Katarina Devanport. "Soo..." he began not as smoothly as he had planned "Charms. I'll be completely honest, I know nothing about the subject other than it's like potions without having to mix anything." Like potions without having to mix anything? Was he completely retarded? Well, yes. The answer would have to be yes.
He took a quick glance around the room; the class had begun to fill up a bit with students he wasn't too familiar with. He hoped to himself that he hadn't made a mistake with his seating choice.

Eric Blaze walked in, most likely the last student to enter the classroom. His eyes spotted Professor Mcklennon levitating, he had seen a lot of people do this, so it didn't really shock him much. His eyes scanned the classroom, he saw his cousin and that Audrey chick, but Eric wouldn't be caught sitting near his cousin, so he gave that option up. Next he saw Riley with a Gryffindor and Slytherin, well Riley was probably pissed at him still, so that option was out of the question and he didn't want anyone to see that Riley was pissed at him which could harm his reputation anyhow. Last person he spotted was Richelle, she along with Riley were probably the hottest in the class. Eric noticed that RIchelle was sitting next to Justin, who was talking to, apparently it looked like, a friend of Audrey's, so if Eric sat too close, he'd have to talk to Mike, or not.
Finally making up his mind, he sat a few seats over from Richelle, where he was by himself. Richelle was trying to talk to Justin who seemed to have his mind set on that Ravenclaw chick friend of Audrey's. Staring forward towards the front desk, as to avoid having to look at Mike, he silently put his bag on the back of his chair, without so much as taking his class items out, then he put his head down on his desk, resting it on his crossed arms.

Watson strolled her way into the class, paying very little attention to anything but her feet, not even looking up as she walked, She was thankful she had a very good sense of direction. She looked up from under her dark hair that formed almost a curtain around her face, trying to find a seat. She noticed Eric sitting a seat by himself and made her way to his practically deserted table. She threw her bag on the ground and flopped into the chair next to him.
"What's got you seeming so down today?" She questioned him, as she propped her Slytherin Green converse onto the table and clicked her black fingernails against the table, enjoying the sound they made.

Alice wasn`t paying much attention to the time. She had almost forgotten that she had her Charms lesson in a couple of minutes. This was also her first Charms lesson this term, so coming late would probably be a bad start and she wouldn`t want that to happen.
Scrolling in the empty hallways, she hurried to get to her lesson. Most of the students were in their classes already. She pushed the door open and a couple of heads turned when the door shut. Alice made her way to her seat in the centre middle. She was late.. but hopefully it wasn`t absolutely later than expected.
Yessss, the Professor was already there, but there were multiple conversations going on in the classroom. Was this a free lesson? Or the Professor waiting for more students to arrive? Hmmm.. Alice sighed.. She didn`t know what to do.. She didn`t feel like joining in poeples conversations because then she`d interupt them and shiz, so instead she went through her shoulder bad trying to find her book she was currently reading, New Moon by Stephanie Meyer. She got to the part where Alice.. Cullen finished having her conversation with Bella and went off to start hunting for Bella`s sake =)

Post by Zachary Pyler on Mar 10, 2009 0:08:16 GMT -5
Zachary closed his charms textbook and made his way out of the Ravenclaw room. As he walked with poise and structure, with his head held high he slid his book perfectly into his bag. It fit just fine, and there were multiple organization charms on the bag of his. He was going to be perfectly timed to class, if he had the right room. The corridors were clearing out, and by the time he had made it to the proper class almost everyone seemed to be seated.
The majority of the class noticed him enter, and began to feverishly whisper to one another about the "new student" and such. Zachary's eyes rolled in disgust as he noted the gossip-girls. Mike was already seated t'wards the back of the room. Normally Zachary would have taken the first seat, but He felt that the charms class was almost a waste of time for him. Ehh, I'm not going to need any extra help, I'll sit by mike.. . He took the seat in front of mike with a simple nod of the head in his direction. No words, or introductions.
He then noticed the teacher, who happened to be levitating, a simple skill that didn't impress Zachary at all, and glanced back at Mike with a Smirk on his face.
"I'm Pyler, you should have gotten a note from Headmaster about me?" he spoke with confidence in his voice.
