Disappointed and frustrated Dinah entered Knockturn Alley's only restaurant. It was dark and dank, much like the rest of the twisted place. Throwing a galleon at the maitre'd Dinah stalked to her normal seat. Her hair was twisted up into a fancy knot. Her black velvet cloak was silk lined, underneath she wore a deep violet low-cut shirt that clung to her curves. Her long legs were encased in black vinyl and she wore her favorite knee high boots. All in all, it appeared she was going somewhere much livelier than The Flaming Toad. As she sat she twirled her black cloak off and laid it across the chair opposite her own.
The waiter came up and once he saw who it was his scoffing manner disappeared to be replaced by a disgustingly fawning manner.
"Misss Dinah. What a pleasure. What a joy. We hoped--err didn't expect to see you so soon." A momentary sneer graced his face before he continued, "Did you not find Hogwarts to your liking? Or rather did they not find you to their liking?"
Dinah's hand twitched toward her wand just to see the disgusting little man flinch. "So sorry, Missss Dinah. Jusst my little joke, yessss?" He bowed and scurried away, muttering under his breath.
Dinah gave a twisted smile. You win one or two duels in this disgusting underground and they actually give you respect. She thought it was pathetic. It would be much more preferable to be given respect just because of one's accomplishments not brawn or power. As the waiter brought back her plate, Dinah smiled. Say whatever you like about Knockturn Alley, the food here at The Flaming Toad were delish!
As she dug in to her food she tried to shake the feeling that she was ebing watched. Who in this rat hole would actually dare stare at her? Unless it was someone from school. No, of course not, she doubted most of those oh so proper teachers would wind up here in Knockturn Alley.
