Andrew Levesque could be seen sitting on a window sill, his bag on the floor just below, he had his legs stretched out as far as he could get them along the window. He quietly watched out the window, of course it was snowing again. This was what, the third, fourth, possibly even fifth storm Hogwarts has seen this winter. Though Andrew didn't mind it, he didn't exactly hate snow, nor did he exactly like it. He glanced around, the Corridor still empty. As far as he was aware, there were no classrooms up here, so maybe he'd be alone. He enjoyed company, but today was a good day just to be alone. His thoughts drifted to his different classes, thinking about Katarina and Julia. His thoughts sort of torn there, he liked Julia A LOT and he knew she liked him. Though, Andrew also liked Katarina, but never had gotten a chance to talk to her. Last time he had a chance, Alexander Noble had interrupted. Oh well, Andrew sighed slowly and turned his gaze back outside.

Katarina walked down the Six Floor Corridor with her Arithmancy text book back in her possession after a weeks long stay with her dear friend, and Gryffindor, Audrey Hitchcock. Despite the fact that she was indoors, she was still dressed warmly- a black knee-length sweater and a knitted scarf displaying Ravenclaw's house colors over her uniform. It was no secret that Katarina was very cold-natured and, during the winter, was never found without some form of outerwear blanketing her in warmth. Her dark hair was left in loose ringlets and pulled into a side ponytail by a single piece of blue ribbon.
As she walked, she caught a figure out of the corner of her eye which caused her to abruptly stop and gasp in momentary fear. Her stance relaxed a bit as she recognized the face of Andrew Levesque, whom she had met once before in the Great Hall. "Oh, I'm sorry. You startled me!" she explained, defending her fear.

Hearing the gasp, his head turned quickly, about to curse the loser who had decided to come bother him out, when he realized it was Katarina. Luckily he had not continued on with what he had planned, or else he'd been the one apologizing, and looking like a complete jackass in front of one the most beautiful girls in Hogwarts. He managed to calm himself down quickly, laughing a little 'bit at her defense of her sudden gasp, "Didn't expect anyone to be up here, eh?" He turned slowly, so his legs came off the window sill and fall to the floor, he got to his feet, "Didn't exactly get to introduce myself properly the other day, thanks to Alexander..." he said a look of disgust coming on to his face at saying the name. Smirking, he held out his hand for the hand shake that the loser, Noble took instead of Katarina, "Andrew Levesque".

"Didn't expect anyone to be up here, eh?"
"Well, no, not exactly." she released a giggle at his obvious question. If she had excepted someone, she wouldn't have been startled.
Smirking, he held out his hand for the hand shake that the loser, Noble took instead of Katarina, "Andrew Levesque"
Her lips formed into a smile "Well Andrew Levesque, it's a pleasure to meet you." her right hand met Andrew's "My name's Katarina Devanport." she looked at him for a moment "Do we have classes together?" she inquired as she still had no recollection of him other than the other day in the Great Hall.

"Yeah, I suppose I wouldn't of either," he replied with a shrug. "No class rooms or anything up here, I suppose only good reason to come up here is to hang out, or if lucky, meet girls as pretty as yourself." he added, with a slight grin.
As she smiled in response to his greeting, he noticed how beautiful of a smile she had. Honestly, all the beautiful girls around here are perfect in every single way, they're beautiful, nice, great smiles... He took her hand in his shaking it gently, noting also how smooth her skin felt. Uh oh... he knew where his thoughts were headed, this is exactly how the scene with Julia started, Julia was already enough for Andrew. Just stick to the flirting for now, Andy. he told himself. "I believe we do, Potions and Arithmancy, if I'm not mistaken." Of course he wasn't mistaken, he saw Katarina in both of those classes, but he wasn't going to make himself look like a complete stalker.

She shifted her gaze to the ground feeling the warmth of the small blush tinting her cheeks. She had never gotten much attention from guys, it was something she had always left up to Audrey. Quite frankly, she wasn't sure how she was suppose to react.
"I believe we do, Potions and Arithmancy, if I'm not mistaken."
She slowly removed her hand from his grasp "Oh..." she looked down to her Arithmancy book "Well, I tend to keep to myself. So it's really not that shocking that I've never met you before I don't suppose. You a sixth year?" Small talk was not exactly something she excelled in, but she was attempting

Andrew watched her cheeks get a small blush, getting a feeling of satisfaction Andrew merely smirked a little 'bit. Sure, Andrew knew girls eventually fell for him, but sometimes it was hard to tell when, usually when they blushed, that's about when they begin to, maybe not total falling in love, but flattering is a good start. As she released her hand from his, he almost went to hold it a little longer, but that would make him seem a little odd, so he restrained. "Yeah... I can be the same way, believe it or not. Though, I'm surprised, from our little meeting the other day, I'd think you'd never be alone." when she questioned him about his year, he nodded. "I am, one of few sixth year guys around here it seems, though it's only the beginning of the year, I just probably haven't come across anyone else. The only other one I know is that Mike Blaze..." he trailed off after speaking the name with a look of disgust. "Are you friends with him?" Andrew asked curiously, looking back to her, he had seen her sitting with Blaze and that cute red head, Audrey Hitchcock.

"Oh, well, Zachary Pyler's a sixth year also. Although, he's a Ravenclaw. That's probably why you haven't met him yet. And as to the incident the other afternoon... well, that's quite out of character. I'm fairly certain there was a bet going around." She trailed off with a laugh

Katarina looked down to the stone floor for a moment, thinking of the appropriate way to place her feelings of Michael Blaze into words. Slowly, she returned her cool gray gaze up to Andrew. "Mike is... He's an excellent quidditch captain and the boyfriend of my best friend." she said with a forced smile. In her mind, she thought it would just be best to not reveal her opinion of Blaze and to more say how she knows him. "Are you?"

"Zachary Pyler, name sounds familiar..." Andrew said rubbing his chin slowly, he had seen many Ravenclaws around, including the amazingly gorgeous one that stood in his presence right now, so it was possible he knew who Zachary Pyler was by not only name, but sight too. Andrew smirked shaking his head at her comment at the bet, "I guess it's possible, you never know what those losers in Slytherins will pull next." he said with a slight laugh, gazing upwards for a second. Once his eyes focused on Katarina once again he said, "Well if there was a bet going around, just know, I wasn't part of it." he shrugged his shoulders slightly. Andrew watched as Kat lowered her eyes, perhaps searching for the right thing to say about Mike? He took a moment and surveyed her after she gave him her description of Blaze. "Was never a fan of Quidditch myself, so I couldn't exactly give my perspective on his Quidditch abilities." Andrew shrugged, the part of him dating one of Katarina's best friends bothered him. She couldn't be talking about Audrey could she? Katarina and Audrey were together the other day, and he had heard that Audrey was dating Mike Blaze, so it was true then, he heard it from the best friend herself. Oh well, looks like Audrey wasn't available but Katarina seemed to still be available, so maybe he still had a chance? "I know of him, we're not friends, or acquaintances for that matter." he shrugged, besides Andrew had enough competition, not that Mike was any competitiion for Andrew, still....

"Oh, Slytherins aren't as bad as all that." she smiled a bit and slowly walked to the window sill Andrew was at previously. "I was almost a Slytherin and the majority of my family are Slytherin Alumni..." she released a barely audible laugh "I suppose that's why so many of them are upset with me, namely Casper Castora. I kinda betrayed them in a way I suppose. But I'm glad you weren't participating in a bet, otherwise I might just have to kill you." her eyes looked into his playfully.
"Was never a fan of Quidditch myself, so I couldn't exactly give my perspective on his Quidditch abilities."
"What?" she feigned an over-dramatic shock "How in the world could you not be into quiddtch? It's God of the wizarding world!" Her she released another laugh and relaxed her face. "Honestly, I'm not that into it either. More of something I did because I had nothing better to do. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love playing. But I'm not obsessive like every other player I know."

"Well from the ones I've come across, they don't exactly make themselves look like perfect angels..." he answered with a smirk, and a quick laugh. Andrew who had been standing a few feet away from the window, leaned back, sitting on the edge of it, his legs at an angle supporting him, his arms folded across his chest, he watched her as she moved towards the window. "The funny thing is, I was nearly a Slytherin myself. In all honesty, I would have rather preferred being a Slytherin, though I would've kept my distance from all those jackasses no matter what." he shook his head with a scowl, which quickly turned to a grin as she made the joke about having to kill him if he had been part of the bet or whatever the Slytherins had going on. "I'm not one to take part in bets, anyways, I don't need to be part of a bet to motivate me to talk to beautiful girls anyhow." he replied, looking back in to her eyes, with the same grin.
"Eh my parents are huge fans of Quidditch, my father was a Keeper back in his day, but I suppose growing up around Muggles, my parents never exactly encouraged Magical related things around me in my youth, so I wouldn't give us away or anything... I took to more of the Muggle sports, never had a particular interest in Quidditch ever..." he shrugged with a sigh, "Though I do regret it sometimes, as I feel left out at family parties, it's what my cousins only ever talk about." he couldn't help but smirk when she broke out in laughter, confessing she was not much in to it either. "Yeah... many people, like my cousins are way too obsessive over Quidditch. Blaze is a little cocky himself over it, eh?" Andrew could've phrased this quite differently, but this was probably the most polite way he could've possibly phrased it personally. He wasn't about to insult Mike in front of the best friend of the girlfriend of Mike Blaze, word spread quickly, and it would've reached Mike in no time, guaranteed....

"Well from the ones I've come across, they don't exactly make themselves look like perfect angels..."
"Surely you must have a little bad boy in you too." she took a moment to examine the Gryffindor colors on his uniform. "Then again... perhaps you don't." Kat's left eyebrow raised in disbelief at his statement about being a Slytherin himself. From past experiences with Gryffindors, including Audrey, the one thing she learned was that Gryffindors and Slytherins were polar opposites. "Beautiful huh? Yeah, you're gonna have to be a little more creative than that." she giggled and switched the text book from her right arm to her left.

"Ah.. Seems you and I have led two separate lives entirely. My family and I live out in the country in Berkshire. To this day, I have yet to really socialize with a muggle. I suppose that's for the best though... It would probably be disastrous. Where about are you from?" Katarina decided to not comment about Mike due to the fact that she didn't consider Andrew to be a friend of hers yet and the last thing she needed was yet ANOTHER rumor spreading around campus about her

"Well, I suppose I can't deny that. I'm not one to stir up too much trouble, though I will from time to time." he shrugged with a laugh. Seeing her eyebrows raise at the obvious disbelief of his statement he nodded, "Indeed, the Sorting Hat did consider Slytherin for me, believe it or not. Many of my family were Slytherins, my cousins would all be Slytherin if they hadn't gone off to Durmstrang." he let eyes gaze out the window for a moment, only looking back to her when she challenged him to be more creative. Grinning, he leaned a little closer to her, though not too close to make it obvious. "Beautiful is just the tip of the ice berg when it comes to you..." he said quietly. "Any amazing descriptive word would definitely fit you."
"Most Wizards and Muggles don't mix. I'm not quite fond of Muggles myself, though I have to put up with them every summer, so I can't complain. I hail from Westminster. Andrew noticed her avoidance of the subject of Mike, as much as Andrew wanted to find out about Blaze who could possibly be some competition for himself, not too much, but some, Andrew respected Kat's decision to not say anything, so he decided not to push further.

As Andrew leaned in closer, she braced herself for what he had under his sleeve. Typically Griffindors just weren't her type... at all. But Andrew piqued her curiosity so she let him continue.
"Beautiful is just the tip of the ice berg when it comes to you..." he said quietly. "Any amazing descriptive word would definitely fit you."
There was no holding in the outburst of laughter that quickly followed his compliment. "How long have you been waiting to use that one?" Katarina was not the type of girl who found charm to be attracting. Quite the opposite really. Charm tends to be the mask of someone with with something, usually a motive, to hide. "It certainly was a pleasure getting to know you better Andrew. Have a good evening" she said her goodbye quickly and with the politeness that her upper-class upbringing brought her that would have made her grandmother proud.
She stopped midstep and spun around on her heel, once again facing him. "And for your information, Mike Blaze is not 'cocky' over quidditch. He's obsessive, just like he is over Audrey. Clingy, obsessive, and needy- that is who Michael Blaze is." There was no point in being polite anymore. She had spent sixteen years of having proper manners, now it was time to speak her mind. She was done being "Audrey's friend", she was going to be herself.

Her laughter brought his hopes of hopefully getting some kind of relationship with her down, though he still had confidence and wasn't about to let his failed charm ruin him. Besides, he wasn't all charm, sometimes he used compliments and such to charm the girl obviously, but then he usually always turned to his normal personality which was just a quiet guy in general who spoke only when spoken to, polite, and just all around friendly. Usually this technique or just way of his worked on most girls, but Katarina was different in a good way, there no question about that. Maybe just eliminating the charm would help? He sighed slowly as she prepared for her leave, "Before you go, let me just admit, maybe that whole tip of the ice berg thing was pathetic, I'm not usually like this, I guess I could say. Sometimes I can't help but trying to be charming around pretty girls." this was not in attempt to charm her further, this was the straight up truth, Katarina was definitely beautiful. He was not about hold her back from leaving though, despite how much he would give to make her stay a little longer.
As she turned to leave, Andrew let his arms fall from being folded across his chest. Good job you moron, you let another get away... were the words that kept spinning around in his mind. When he heard her begin to speak again, he looked up. As Katarina's thoughts on Mike Blaze were out in the open, Andrew restrained a smirk, keeping his face expressionless. "Yeah... guys who are like that aren't always the best. Especially not with the clingyness, I could never imagine following my girlfriend, if I ever were to get one, around twenty-four seven. I respect girls and their privacy, I keep my distance." he shrugged, again Andrew's true personality making itself known, not just another bit of information in an attempt to charm her.
