"These are ancient Celtic incantations..."
Great. How ironic, the one book his accio decided to rip out of the clearly not-allowed section of the entire library would be written in jibberish. The one book, in the one subject that Zachary decided to take out of the millions in that vast collection would be written in something that was written in the friggin' hundreds. In CELTIC!
"Reddo Advanced Charms Book ". The words quickly rearranged, bent, and formed themselves into legible English. She smiled up to Zachary as she slid the book back towards him. "That better?"
With a flick of her frail little wrist, the symbols slid and transformed around the page into common-day Ariel print. Kat was a clever girl, the sorting hat was no fool for placing her in Ravenclaw; but Justin looked amused, and unimpressed. Why hadnt he been placed in Ravenclaw?
He eagerly looked at Zachary. "There is one thing I've always wanted to do..." he began a bit timidly "Is there anything in there about the Legilimens spell?"
Zachary tilted the book on the edge of the table as to where they were only visible to himself, and the books on the shelf behind him and began to thumb through the pages when this question was asked. The look on McCarter's face was priceless, eager, like a puppy waiting for a treat. McCarter wasn't one to show emotion like that in a normal situation. Zachary began to thumb through and saw in bold letters.
CHAPTER 23 LIGILIMENCY AND OCCLUMENCY
Zachary went to sit up to read this section allowed only to find that when he moved the after effects of Casper (McCarters close friend) horrible curse rip at him a little. Fuck that hurts! "Shit!" He realized he was speaking rather loud for a boarding school's library. He didn't want to admit he was still hurting. "Oh sorry, I guess the olden days didn't have index's, I'll thumb through the book and let you know if I find anything about it later." He slammed the black leather bound book shut and threw it into his italian duffel; it would arrange itself neatly. He didn't want to lie to Justin, he seemed nice enough, but trust wasn't something Zachary gave out free. especially to a slytherin, even if he was almost a slytherin himself.

"Is there anything in there about the Legilimens spell?"
Katarina's right eyebrow raised a bit at Justin's statement. Occlumency? That's a very powerful spell Justin was interested in. She silently took in the blond Slytherin. He certainly seemed nice enough, but surely there was a reason he was sorted into Slytherin versus the other three available houses. She wasn't sure she felt comfortable with him possessing the capability to delve into her, or anybody's else's for that matter, mind.
"Shit!"
Zachary's loud outburst caused her to jump a bit as it interrupted her thought pattern. Her gray eyes softened a bit as she looked at Zachary. He and Casper had certainly spared no malice for each other as the tossed each other around the stone hallway just outside the Trophy Room. Careful not to show pity, as Kat was certain it would insult Zachary, she composed herself as Zachary threw the ancient book into his bag. There was no doubt in Katarina's mind that there was something in that book about Occlumency, but she wasn't about to say anything to Zachary about it.
"Have you guys ever wondered" she began steadily "What the extent of possibilities spells have?" she paused, realizing that it didn't make much sense "I mean, we're taught the basics in spells. We know Accio summons an object to us. But how far can we take that spell? How creative can you go with that? Could you fight? Could you kill even with an Accio?" she looked down at the table realizing just how dark she was beginning to sound. But in all honesty, it was something that had always risen her curiosity. Why were unforgivables treated as the most deadly spells when, with a little creativity and intelligence, any simple spell could cause just as much pain and death.
